Hatta Belajar Bahasa Inggris dengan Otak Kanan

Belajar bahasa Inggris dengan otak kanan? Apa maksudnya? Maksud saya, daripada menghafal gramar bahasa atau vocabulary satu per satu kata, lebih baik menghafal kalimat. Dimulai dari kalimat-kalimat paling sederhana sampai nantinya kalimat-kalimat kompleks.

Di manapun kapan pun dan setiap hari, Hatta selalu saya review hafalannya. Sama seperti menghafal ayat-ayat Al-Quran. Pikir saya, kalau kalimat-kalimat Al-Quran saja bisa dihafal, tentu kalimat bahasa asing dalam rangka belajar percakapan bukan bahasa ibu pun bisa.

Eksperimen yang saya lakukan berhasil. Sampai saat saya menulis ini Hatta sudah hafal 45 kalimat sederhana bahasa Inggris, dan ini berarti sudah puluhan kata, dan akan terus meningkat dari hari ke hari. Berikut ini kalimat yang sudah dihafal Hatta beserta maknanya:

5. Yes, I am.
6. How are you?
7. Fine, thanks.
8. How's Helen?
9. She's very well, thank you.
